In our clinic we have an internal diagnostic laboratory. This is a plus because it means the veterinary team does not have to wait to perform the tests, wasting (critical) time in the process. If we cannot perform the test that your pet needs, we have access to several external diagnostic laboratories. There are a number of tests we often do to stage the condition and cause of your pet's illness. Urinalysis will check for kidney or hormonal disease. Blood biochemistry panels allow us to check the functioning of the liver, kidney, pancreas and gallbladder of your dog or cat. Complete blood count can tell us if your pet is dehydrated or anemic, or show signs of cancer, autoimmune diseases or tick borne diseases.
